What is a local currency code?

Local currency codes are three-letter alphabetic codes that represent the various currencies used throughout the world.

For example, Tanzania is TZS, Nigeria is NGN, and Argentina is ARS. If you are unsure of your local currency code, a quick google search can give you the answer.
